NOW THAT I UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF WISDOM

Basically, according to the definition of Wisdom from the Oxford dictionary; wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement. It is the quality of being wise.


Wisdom is the body of knowledge and experience that develops within a specified society or period. It is the state of being wise.
According the the scriptures, the word WISDOM simple means; "the wisdom of God." It is the supernatural impartation of facts, guidance, and solutions. 

The result is always beyond human intelligence because it is purely by a supernatural download from above.

THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF WISDOM.

a. Human Wisdom - Ecclesiastes 1:9, 3:19-20, 7:16-17.

The Wisdom of this age is the wisdom we acquire through books, experience and observations. This type of Wisdom can be acquired by anybody whether they have the Holy Spirit or not. This is a kind of wisdom you acquire from the Universities or any learning environment, it is natural. Anyone can attend medical school and become a doctor and not necessarily have the spirit of f God in them. The nature of this wisdom is greatly elucidated by its identification with philosophy, and its god actually is tradition, education, and logic. The Bible is not logical but spiritual because holy men wrote it by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit when He came upon them.

b. Demonic Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 2:6, Ephesians 6:12.

Apostle Paul describes the wisdom of the ruler of this age. The rulers of this age, some people's believe are political or governmental leader. They believe so much in their counsel more than that of the holy spirit. However, a critical inquiry in the Bible, reveals that the wisdom of the rulers of this age is referring to demonic Wisdom, those principalities, rulers of the darkness of the earth, spiritual wickedness in the high places. Any wisdom that suspend the wisdom of God is demonic.

c. Godly Wisdom - James 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 2:14.

Thus wisdom is spiritually discerned. It is not something that you can derive from going to school or book knowledge or scientific methods. Mathew 28:18. Godly wisdom cannot and do not change and cannot be disproved. In James 3:16-17; Apostle James describes this wisdom as one which seeks peace, not success. It desires purity, not happiness. It shows itself in willingness to yield to others, a sharp contrast to ambitious self-promotion. This wisdom is not corrupted, it is pure and peaceable and helps you to live a holy life.

Now you can conclude to pursue the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God is the principal thing. Proverbs 4:7 (NLT) - Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgement. Godly wisdom produces a good judgement, good counsel and good character. It direct you to act according to how God wants you to act at any given time.

Having acquired the wisdom of God, you need to learn how to sustain it.

FOUR WAYS TO SUSTAINING THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM.

a. You must maintain the fear of the Lord as a lifestyle: 

Genesis 42:18 - Joseph feared the lord.
Daniel 6:1-5 - Daniel feared the lord.
1 King's 11:1 - Solomon feared the Lord.

b. You must maintain a meek Spirit: 

i. You must maintain meekness 
ii. You must ascribe the glory to God and not to your capacity as an individual.
iii. Moses was the meekest man in the Bible, be like him in terms of meekness.

c. You must maintain an effective altar of prayer:

Daniel will pray three times a day. He was as wise as the angel of the Lord. Daniel was constantly in God's presence. You can't find a wise man who is not constantly in touch with God.

The spirit of wisdom demands that you walk effectively with God only wise. "For he that walks with the wise shall be wise, a companion of fools shall be destroyed."

d. Commit yourself to heavily and focus meditation:

You must constantly give yourself to study life, concentrated meditation and be focused.
